Statement of ConfidentialityAll members are expected to maintain the confidentiality of the other group members in respect of their trans status. Members are reminded that some members are living in ‘stealth mode’ or may not be out to family, friends, employers or colleagues. On no account should any member of the group ‘out’ any other member for any reason without the express consent of the individual(s) involved. Anyone who does so will be asked not to attend future meetings and events. ManifestoTransInclusion aims to:- Promote a positive image of trans people both in the LGBT community and wider community. Provide a supportive and safe environment for trans people to come together, voice their opinions and concerns and have them heard. To give the trans community a clear and consistent voice. Offer help and support to those struggling to develop their own gender identity. Provide a figurehead and a voice for trans people when relating to LGBT groups and other organisations; a representative from TransInclusion to attend every major service users meeting in Blackpool to provide a link. e.g. Blackpool LGBT Forum, Blackpool PCT, etc… Campaign and liaise with government, healthcare and mental health services to improve the legal and medical options available to trans people. Provide an educational service to local government, public service organisations, employers, schools, families and individuals about the reality of being trans and the particular challenges and joys faced by trans people. Gain Public Licensed Company or Charitable status to seek funding, to enhance public credibility and pursue other opportunities to improve the services provided to trans people. Offer support, advice and intervention wherever possible to trans people whose rights and liberties are challenged or denied within society. Hate CrimeDon't be a victim! If you've been the target of crime or abuse because of your perceived gender, sexuality or race - report it.
